About News Desk

News Desk is a daily summary of what happened in AI. It is for people who use AI tools and want to keep up without reading everything.

Why it exists

AI changes fast. New models, new tools, price changes and outages arrive every week, and it is easy to lose track. Each issue picks the three to five stories that matter most that day and explains them in plain words: what happened, and what it means for someone who uses AI.

How each issue is made

  1. 1Every day at 3pm Bangkok time, three sources are searched: the web (with Perplexity), posts on X (with Grok) and GitHub's trending page.
  2. 2Stories from the last few days are removed, unless something about them changed.
  3. 3An AI writer, Claude Opus 5.5, writes the issue from that research. It follows fixed rules: name the source, keep facts and claims apart, explain every technical term, no opinions and no hype.
  4. 4A checker script reviews the draft for repetition and unclear writing before it is published.
  5. 5Every story links to its original source. X posts appear word for word, fetched from X.

Explainers

Some stories need more than a few sentences. An explainer goes deeper on one tool or topic: what it is, how it works, how to use it, what it costs and what it cannot do. Each explainer links back to the story it came from.

What News Desk does not do

No opinions, no predictions and no hype. No ads and no sponsored stories. When a claim is not confirmed, the story says so.
